Salary £7.50-£10.00 per hour
1 Year fixed term contract
We are pleased to be working with a local clothing manufacturer, who produce sports and leisure wear for some of the UK’s leading retailers.
Our client is delighted to have secured yet another contract to supply a well-known high street retailer and so will be phasing in additional shifts at their manufacturing facility during January 2018.
We are looking for production operatives/quality checkers to be trained on bespoke machinery that embroider and attach labelling to products.
In addition, you will be trained to use the bagging and sealing machines so the items are protected for shipping.
Quality control is key and so you will need a good eye for detail as you will also be asked to check items before they are passed for shipment. You will need to be dextrous and able to check the linings and seams of garments and bags to ensure that they have been finished correctly.
Any faults (loose stitching, holes etc…) will need to be identified and returned to the reject bins for fixing or disposal.
You must be available to work Monday to Friday on a shift rotation of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am (nights)
The starting rate is £7.50 per hour, but this rises to £10.00 per hour when you are fully trained and have successfully completed your three month probationary period.
Overtime will be available during peak periods
Your own transport will be necessary as public transport does not run past this facility after 6pm.
Please note: Due to the operation of industry machinery, you must be 18 or over to apply.
