CNC Turning / Sliding Head & Mill Turn PROGRAMMER/SETTER/OPERATOR
Job Summary
The CNC Turning / Sliding Head & Mill Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator will be able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards the continuous improvement of their own work and that of a highly skilled team. Also, to demonstrate initiative, be flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
This role will be to specifically cover our afternoon shift on a alternating weekly basis across varied turning principles. We are also looking for applicants who are willing to further their and the companies skillset towards its machining and programming capabilities.
Machinery:
* STAR SV-32 – Sliding Head (x3)
* STAR SJ-20 – Sliding Head
* HAAS DS-30Y – Slant Bed
* HAAS ST-20Y – Slant Bed
* HAAS SL-20 – Slant Bed (x2)
CNC Turning / Sliding Head & Mill Turn Duties and Responsibilities
These will include the following listed below and other duties may be assigned depending on the needs of the business.
* Problem Solving
* Multi-tasking on sliding-head and slant-bed turning with live tooling capabilities.
* Read drawings
* Inspect own work
* Producing machined components to tight tolerances
* Completing work to designated deadlines
* Creating NC programmes from engineering drawings
* Safe working within the section
* Good housekeeping in the area of operation
* Maintaining quality of work and adherence to work processes
* Achieving the production schedule
* Minimising machine downtime
* Effective flow of work in and out of section
* Adhere to requirements of the Company’s QA policies
CNC Turning / Sliding Head & Mill Turn – Shift-pattern
* 1st shift (6am-2pm Mon-Fri)
* 2nd shift (1pm-11pm Mon-Thurs)
* Shift-rate: 1.25/hr
* Over-time: 1.50/hr
