Hello,
My client manufactures precision made parts from various materials. They are currently in need of CNC Machinists to join their Machine shop in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
They are in need of the following:
CNC Mill/Turner:
* Programming, programme rectification, setting and operating of Mill/Turning Centres (Fanuc & Haas controls).
* Reading and correctly interpreting engineering documentation.
* Optimising production techniques to increase efficiency.
* Operating manual lathes when required.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area.
* Perform other duties such as light assembly work when required.
* Be willing to train other members of staff in the use of the machine.
* Good standard of work will be required and can do first off inspection using available inspection equipment.
* Have a flexible can-do attitude.
* Be competent and responsible for programming, setting, and operating a HAAS ST20Y Mill/Turn machine and will play a key role in producing high quality components to strict tolerances and deadlines.
* You will have good turning experience in Fanuc controls, and it would also be advantageous to have knowledge of Power Mill CAD/CAM software.
CNC Router:
* Work on CNC routing machines. Ensure a professional, quality service (external and internal) is provided at all times throughout the various stages of production.
* Be conversant with and adhere to the Company’s Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and all other Company Rules and Policies
* Undertake cleaning, loading and unloading of machines.
* Undertake training in the production of vacuum and architectural products.
* Meet quality standard and meet targets required.
* Completion of routine department paperwork and adhering to administrative and quality and technical procedures. Understanding of computers is required.
* Work on own without supervision and have a flexible approach to work situations.
* Some heavy lifting required.

Schedule: 8-hour shift – Monday to Friday
The salary for this role is up to £35k depending on experience.
