They undertake a range of projects within the private and public sectors from small works to design and build projects with values reaching £15m plus. Preconstruction Coordinator
A Preconstruction Coordinator is now required initially for a 12 month fixed contract to cover maternity leave with the potential to become permanent. The Preconstruction Coordinator works as part of a small team, taking individual responsible for tasks in a supportive environment.
The role primarily involves coordinating with other departments in the business, drawing together their inputs along with other corporate information, to ensure prequalification and tender documents are completed and delivered to customers or their professional teams to meet fixed deadlines. The role requires attention to detail, sometimes working at pace and with an eye for quality to support this important work winning activity.
The primary tasks include;
* Completion of Pre-Qualifying Questionnaires and Tender Submissions
* Completion of various tendering documents i.e. interview presentations
* Managing information flow via tendering portals
* Liaise with the Estimating department
You will need to be comfortable using a range of IT systems, many tenders are now managed and submitted through online portals and the role includes keeping their team up to date with amendments and clarifications that are regularly issued during the prequalification and tender processes. Specific training will be provided where required or beneficial.
The role also involves a range of other tasks that are part of supporting the marketing and work winning activities and are shared within the team as capacity allows.
These include;
* Producing marketing information i.e. Flyers, brochures etc.
* Updating and creating CV’s and case studies
* Photos of staff
* Arranging Photos of sites
* Help, as part of a team, to arrange events
* Help, as part of a team, to maintain office supplies i.e. paper, folders etc
* Help manage in house project information i.e. KMS
* Liaise with Clients / project managers regarding future work enquiries
Knowledge of the following systems would be beneficial
* InDesign
* Adobe PDF
* Word
* Excel
* Outlook
* Photoshop
The ideal person will have relevant experience working within preconstruction within a UK contractor, be able to work independently, punctual with an eye for detail.
