Quality Manager
Our client is a hugely innovative growing & packing operation, supplying the UK’s leading supermarkets & food service with baby leaf salads and herbs. Due to recent developments there is now a vacancy for a Quality Manager.
You will have full responsibility for the company Quality Management system, adhering to standards such as BRC and retailer-specific protocols.You will be responsible for all quality aspects organising incoming inspections and documentation on all consignments received into the packhouse. You will manage incoming quality control reports detailing any issues so as to assist suppliers with their own product quality controls and grower management. You will monitor and manage all stocks on and off-site liaising with the commercial team, Product Manager and suppliers to ensure optimum stock rotation. You will also work closely with the Technical & Commercial Teams, lead on all quality trouble shooting to ensure best outcome for customers and suppliers / growers.
Good communication skills are essential. Our client has developed a very strong team ethic and the right person will need to have the same, balancing the role of strong team leadership whilst working as part of the senior management team.
