Overview

An established manufacturing company based in Digbeth, Birmingham requires an experienced toolmaker.
Duties:
* Design, manufacture and development of a range of tooling such as: press tools, stamping dies, jigging and fixturing, special purpose machinery.
* Maintenance and improvement of existing tooling.
* Setting and programming of CNC machinery for small batch and development purposes.
* Using conventional toolroom and CNC machining techniques to manufacture components.
* Production of one-off specials to a high standard.
* Design for additive manufacturing and operation of various 3D printers.
Requirements:
* Previous toolroom experience.
* CNC machining/setting experience (both 3 axis VMC’s and lathes)
* Apprenticeship trained/proven track record in engineering or toolmaking.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
* CNC, twin spindle and 5-axis, CAD/CAM, 3D printing/additive manufacturing experience an advantage.
Hours:
* Hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 12pm on Friday.
This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
