Overview

PURPOSE:
The setting up and operation of all types of production WELDING in a safe and efficient manner.
MAIN DUTIES:
1 To carry out production coded welding TIG operations following standard operating procedures as directed by the Manager or with others who have an input into the job.
2 To manufacture, or assist in the manufacture of, any tooling necessary for the production of components.
3. To be totally responsible for the quality of own work. Focus on acheiveing Zero defect, right first time approach.
4 To carry out routine and minor maintenance including good housekeeping within the assembly/welding department.
5 To inform the Manager of any special tools or tooling needed for the production of components as early as possible, so minimizing delays.
6 Assist other sections as required.
7. To take necessary training (internally or externally) as required to perform necessary work.
8 To be continually improving efficiency through productivity and reducing costs and suggest these to the Manager
9 To report machine or equipment faults/improvements to the Manager
10. Maintain a positive, pro-active and flexible attitude
11. To carry out any other tasks as reasonably requested, and be willing to train others to the best of your ability.

REQUIREMENTS
Certified Coded TIG Welder 6G CODE.
Strong previous welding experience of 8 years minimum in precision welding.
Structured and diligent approach to working.
Competent in reading engineering drawings and following Standard Operating Procedures.
Flexible and Postive attitude and strong work ethic
